Big on concept. Small on content.

I study linguistics, language, and psychology but I'm not sure what to do with what I'm learning. I hope one day to produce art that people love but I'm casual about production.

I love narrative art (comic books, illustrations and that) and I write and draw some of my more transgressional stuff under an alias. If you see something of mine here on deviantart marked as adult, think "Georgia O'Keeffe"; not "Larry Flynt".

Wonder Recollector (Unfinished)
Pose and lighting heavily inspired by "I Won't Give In" by Valentina-Remenar : no infringement of rights intended. This was just an exercise in inspired day-dreaming. When I saw Ms. Remenar's beautiful portrait, my dream generator concocted a story of a human data repository cognitively injured by his attempts to reconcile incompatible data points; he's losing data to the dissonance.

I've always been fascinated by story-keepers like the oral historians who would have collected and disseminated the books of the Bible before they were written onto parchment and stone and before literacy was wide-spread. That's all I know about the subject of this drawing so far.

PLEASE visit Ms. Remenar's Deviant page; her works are wonders you'll never un-remember.

Madam Slay: Repose in Progress (1-third size)
A friend whose angelic face has a glint or glimmer of devilishness asked me to draw a portrait of her as Madam Slay, a villain from Marvel's "Black Panther" comics. This is close to a completed pencil draft and, from here, I'll load it into Gimp, separate regions of the image into several layers, colorized the layers and, finally, combine/integrate the layers and refine the color.

Cognitive fatigue has left me thin-skinned and incapable of tolerating controversy. I hope to recover soon. #BackToTheHermitage
I very recently described my philosophy on paying close attention to the works on my Watchlist and not letting the notifications pile up. I've got about 70 Deviations waiting for me! :(

I quite like the neo-impressionististic tones and attributes in your faces and figures. I'll take more time and care viewing more of your gallery later.

Impressionism and neo-impressionism are nineteenth-century artistic movements that are actually defined by certain techniques of applying paint to a canvas. I don't mean to suggest that you've employed that technique and instead mean that the modernist-impressionist qualities of your works look more like the works of the neo-impressionists than that of the impressionists. Your work is lovely without any classification, though.

A favor to myself, really -- I'm always looking for atypical figure studies. You're welcome, all the same, though.
